AI Readiness Diagnostic

From benchmark
to 90-day plan
in 10 days.

A focused, fixed-fee engagement that takes your site, your buyers, and your stack — and produces a prioritized 90-day execution roadmap you can ship with your existing team.

AI search is reshaping pipeline.
Most teams don’t have a plan.

ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini — they’re mediating more of your buyer’s first impression every quarter. The companies getting cited are compounding pipeline. Everyone else is watching traffic flatten without knowing why.

Most marketing leaders I talk to already sense the shift. What they don’t have is a defensible, sequenced plan they can put in front of their CEO or board and execute against this quarter.

That’s what this diagnostic produces.

Four deliverables.
One executable plan.

01

Full 45-check ASRI audit

Per-check breakdowns of every criterion, scored against your homepage and the high-intent landing pages that drive your pipeline. Prioritized fix list ranked by effort and impact — not a 200-line checklist.

02

Competitive read on 5–10 companies

Not just the obvious competitors. The companies your buyers actually compare you against — including AI-search winners in adjacent categories you might not be tracking yet.

03

90-day execution roadmap

What to ship in weeks 1–4, 5–8, and 9–12. Mapped to your team's current capacity (or flagging where outside help is needed). Specific enough that your team can start Monday.

04

60-minute strategy walkthrough

A live call where we go through the report together. You push back where it doesn't fit. The roadmap gets refined in real time. Recorded, so your team can review later.

A tight,
predictable timeline.

Fixed scope, fixed fee, fixed timeline. No proposal cycles, no scope creep, no surprises.

Day 0

Kickoff call (30 min)

We align on scope, share access (analytics, search console, key URLs), confirm the competitive set.

Days 1–6

Audit + competitive research

I run the 45-check ASRI audit on your site and the cohort. Cross-reference signals across technical foundation, content, AI/GEO readiness, and authority.

Days 7–8

Synthesis + draft roadmap

Findings get prioritized. The 90-day plan gets sequenced. Effort/impact rankings get pressure-tested.

Day 9

Draft delivery

You get the full report 24 hours before the walkthrough. Time to review it, mark up questions, share with your team.

Day 10

60-min walkthrough call

We go through the report together. Refine the roadmap. Identify the first thing your team should ship.

How this is different from
the benchmark.

The AI Search Visibility Benchmark shows you where you stand. The diagnostic tells you what to do about it.

Built for marketing leaders
ready to act.

This is right for you if…

  • You lead marketing at a $5M–$50M business
  • You've decided AI is a strategic priority — you just need a plan
  • You have SEO basics in place but no clear AI roadmap
  • You want a defensible, executable plan — not a slide deck

This isn’t for you if…

  • ×You already have a clear, sequenced AI marketing roadmap
  • ×You want a long-term retainer first — start with that conversation
  • ×You want a pure technical SEO audit (use Screaming Frog or Ahrefs)

$1,500.
One-time.

Paid up front. Delivered in 10 business days. No retainer commitment. No proposal cycle. No surprises.

What happens after: You walk away with a 90-day plan you can execute with your existing team. If you want hands-on help running it, retainer engagements start at $7,500/month — but that’s a separate conversation, made after the diagnostic, with no pressure.

What you won’t get: A pitch. A 50-page deck. A roadmap that requires my agency to execute. The diagnostic is structured so you own the output and your team can ship it.

25 years in marketing,
web, and search.

I’m Brian Fidler. I’m a fractional CMO based in Phoenix, working with $5M–$50M companies across the U.S. Long enough in this category to remember when “AI search” meant a clunky chatbot at the bottom of a help page.

The diagnostic is the engagement I run with every new client before any retainer conversation. It’s the work I would want done on my own business.

Things people ask
before starting.

What's the difference between this and the free AI Search Audit?

The AI Search Visibility Benchmark scores you against three competitors at the category level and surfaces three observations. The diagnostic goes deeper — full per-check breakdowns of all 45 ASRI checks, competitive read on the 5–10 companies your buyers actually evaluate, a 90-day execution plan ranked by effort and impact, and a 60-minute strategy call. The benchmark tells you where you stand. The diagnostic tells you what to do about it.

Do I need to be ready to commit to a retainer at the end?

No. The diagnostic is intentionally structured as a one-time engagement. If you want to execute with your existing team, the roadmap is yours. If you want hands-on help, retainers start at $7,500/month — but that's a separate decision, made after the diagnostic, with no pressure.

What if my company is smaller than $5M or larger than $50M?

I'm honest about this — the diagnostic is calibrated for the $5M–$50M range. Smaller companies usually need different priorities (foundations, not optimization). Larger ones need different scopes (enterprise rollout, not point diagnostics). If you reach out and we're not a fit, I'll say so on the call.

What if we already have a marketing team or SEO agency?

Most of my best engagements are with companies that have one or both. The diagnostic isn't a replacement — it's an outside-in strategic read that gives your team and agency a clearer brief. They execute better with a sharper roadmap.

Can we customize the scope?

The diagnostic itself is fixed-scope to keep the price honest and the timeline tight. If you need something custom — multi-brand, multi-region, post-acquisition integration — that's a different conversation. We can scope it on a discovery call.

What if the diagnostic uncovers something I disagree with?

Good. That's the most useful kind of finding. The 60-minute walkthrough call is built for exactly this — we go through the report together, you push back where it doesn't fit your reality, and the roadmap gets refined in real time.
